Dr. Aurelia Chepkirui Rono is the Principal Secretary, State Department for Parliamentary Affairs in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. She is a visionary public servant, accomplished scholar, and transformative leader who has devoted her career to promoting excellence, integrity, and accountability in public service.

Dr. Rono holds a PhD in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Kabianga, an MBA in Finance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), and a Bachelor of Education (Science) from Egerton University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (Kenya) and an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

A recipient of the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS) award, Dr. Rono has served with distinction in academia, governance, and national leadership. She is passionate about empowering the youth, nurturing ethical leadership, and fostering a culture of service that transforms communities and inspires future generations.
